Performing Dental Cleanings at Our Office in Randolph, NJ
Dental teeth cleanings are an essential part of preventative dental care and should minimally be performed every six months as part as your basic health regime.
What to Expect
When you visit Charmoy Dental Associates for dental cleaning, our experienced practitioners will:
- Perform a comprehensive dental exam to check for tooth decay, gum disease, and other problems
- Remove any plaque and tartar located between your teeth and along your gum lines
- Polish and floss your teeth
- Take any necessary X-rays
- When recommended, apply a topical fluoride varnish treatment
We generally recommend that our patients have X-rays taken on an annual basis, so if it’s been at least a year since you last had imaging completed, that may also occur during your appointment. The length of a dental cleaning will vary depending on the condition of the patient’s teeth, but these appointments usually take around 30 to 60 minutes.
