I think there’s one thing that kids and adults alike can all agree on: there’s nothing like waking up on Christmas morning to a stocking full of little goodies. As we start to get closer to Christmas, I’ve compiled a list to help make sure that your loved one’s stockings are stuffed with some teeth-friendly goodies – there’s something for everyone!
A brand new toothbrush.
Everyone loves a new toothbrush. Whether it’s a shiny, sparkly, bright-colored tooth brush with your child’s latest favorite super hero or character on it or a fancy electric tooth brush for your significant other, it won’t disappoint. Find a new tooth brush that will get your child (ren) excited about brushing their teeth.
Fun toothpaste flavor.
Find a fun flavored toothpaste that your kids will love. Nowadays there’s a flavor for every palate. Try bubblegum, bubble fruit, strawberry, or watermelon for the younger kids to get them excited about brushing their teeth. Do you have a daring and adventurous teen or pre-teen? Great! Try cupcake, bacon, pickle, curry, or champagne flavors. Yes, those flavors actually exist and can be bought on Amazon (perhaps they were made by the creators of Bean Boozled?).
A sports mouth guard.
Does your child play any sports? Unfortunately, many kids are playing active sports without properly protecting their teeth. Find a fun, colorful mouth guard to put in their stocking this year so that they’ll be encouraged to use it. You can even get one with their sports team color.
When most people think about Christmas, they think of candy canes and specialty chocolate and everything in between. All of those are fine in moderation. But why not throw a few healthier options in there as well? Get some packets of dried fruits, nuts covered with dark chocolate, or granola mix – all things that are healthy for your teeth but still a yummy treat.
Silly toothbrush holder.
You know that plain old cup or mug that your family’s toothbrushes reside in right now? Get rid of it! Get a silly, fun toothbrush holder instead. From super heroes to lobsters to monkey’s, the options are endless and it will make brushing fun for the whole family.
No matter what you’re celebrating this holiday season, we hope you stay safe and keep on smiling. Give the gift of dental health this holiday – your family will thank you later!
